Love

October 29, 2020 D'Andre Woodard #tbt Class is about to begin. Warm ups have been skipped by yours truly, and we are told to break into pairs and do pass-replace movement drills. Normally, I partner with Tito, but out of the corner of my eye I see a new girl on the mats. She's got that awkward, first day of jiu jitsu look in her eyes, swiveling her head left and right not knowing how to go about finding a partner. On an impulsive decision (which had nothing to do with the fact that she's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen on the mats, or in life) I do a quick forward roll over to her to demonstrate my physical prowess, extend my hand and say "Need a partner?" Little did we know, we'd eventually end up partners for life.

June 19, 2021 Priscilla Sanchez My best friend, the love of my life has passed away. My heart feels like it’s been ripped apart, he was the most wonderful man I’ve ever known. D'Andre Woodard, I have to live for us both now. I swear I’ll make you proud & travel everywhere with you. You are my heart, my whole heart, so I’ll have you with me always. I love you.
